      Description

Taittinger's Millésime 2008 is a cuvée that highlights an absolutely remarkable year. It's a champagne with floral and citrus notes.

The 2008 vintage is one of the finest in Champagne in recent years. A mild, rainy winter was followed by a mild spring and, above all, a beautiful month of September, producing superb grapes at harvest time. The Chardonnays are lively and fine, with a beautiful minerality, while the Pinots Noirs stand out for their fruitiness and vinosity.

The 2008 Champagne vintage produced lively, fresh wines with excellent ageing potential.

Taittinger's 2008 vintage is a blend of 50% Chardonnay from the Grands Crus terroirs of the Côte des Blancs and 50% Pinot Noir from the Grands Crus of the Montagne de Reims and the Vallée de la Marne.

This cuvée, like all Taittinger cuvées, is vinified in stainless steel vats to preserve maximum freshness.

This champagne has an intense golden color.

On the nose, the cuvée reveals intense, mineral notes, with a hint of flowers and citrus fruits (lemon and grapefruit).

On the palate, Millésime 2008 Taittinger starts out fruity, then develops a fine vinosity. The palate is rich, with a long, fresh finish.

A champagne to be enjoyed as an aperitif or with fish in sauce or lobster.
