The Comtes de Champagne 2013 cuvée from Taittinger is an exceptional vintage, celebrated for its purity and freshness. Made from the finest Chardonnay Grand Cru grapes from the Côte des Blancs, this vintage stands out with its notes of ripe citrus and delicately mineral aromas. It is a champagne that combines power and finesse.
The Comtes de Champagne 2013 is made exclusively from Chardonnay Grand Cru grapes from prestigious villages such as Avize, Chouilly, Cramant, Mesnil-sur-Oger, and Oger. These terroirs, located on the Côte des Blancs, are renowned for their chalk-rich soils, a natural reservoir of water and heat, providing ideal conditions for the grapes to flourish.
The 2013 vintage is marked by atypical climatic conditions, which gave birth to wines of great freshness and beautiful structure. After a cool and humid spring, followed by a hot and sunny summer, the grapes matured slowly, allowing for unique aromatic concentration. The harvest, later than usual, produced grapes of exceptional quality, especially for the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir varieties. This prolonged maturation favored the expression of mineral and fruity notes, as well as a lively acidity that promises excellent aging potential.
For this cuvée, only the best "cuvées" are selected, and 5% of the wines that make up the final blend have been aged in oak barrels for 4 months, adding slightly toasted nuances and reinforcing the structure of the whole. After a slow maturation of 10 years in the cellars, this champagne reveals a unique complexity and remarkable vivacity. The Brut dosage achieves a perfect balance, highlighting its freshness and aromatic depth.
The Comtes de Champagne 2013 cuvée presents a sparkling yellow color, clear, adorned with golden reflections and fine, persistent effervescence.
On the nose, this cuvée offers great freshness, with aromas of ripe citrus and pastry notes. It develops progressively with nuances of minerality, revealing the typicity of the Côte des Blancs terroirs.
On the palate, the Comtes de Champagne 2013 stands out with lively effervescence and a crystalline texture. The flavors concentrate around the bitterness of ginger and licorice, ending with a long and tonic finish. Its purity and saline austerity are emblematic of the great Champagne terroirs.
The price of the Comtes de Champagne 2013 Taittinger bottle is 189,95 €. This champagne stands out for its rarity and remarkable quality. A perfect choice for collectors or lovers of exceptional champagnes.
