The House of Philipponnat is located in Ay, the cradle of the Philipponnat family for almost five centuries. The House is now the owner of 20 hectares of vineyards in Premiers and Grands Crus on the terroirs of Ay, Mareuil-sur-Ay and Avenay, worked as naturally as possible. The principle of the perpetual reserve is part of the House's traditions. The reserve wines are kept in oak barrels and reintroduced in part into the blending of the non-vintage cuvées. The cuvées of the House of Philipponnat thus trace its history and express its specificities.
The Royale Réserve cuvée thus pays homage to the founders, owners of vineyards and suppliers to Louis XIV. It is a harmonious champagne with a superb quality/price ratio. The Cuvée 1522 recalls the year of the family's establishment in the heart of Champagne. This cuvée is made from the House's most remarkable wines and offers the palate a beautiful balance between richness and freshness. The Clos des Goisses cuvée refers to an exceptional vineyard acquired in 1935. Facing due south, it extends over 5.5 ha in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ and gives birth to the House's most prestigious cuvée.
