The Pierre Gimonnet champagne house has been in existence for more than two centuries. Their vineyards span 70 acres in the heart of the côte des Blancs and for the greater part are made up of old vines, the oldest of which were planted at Cramant in 1911. 80% of the vines are over 30 years old.
Their champagnes give prominence to the Chardonnay grown in the Grand Cru vineyards of Cramant, Oger and Chouilly, and the Premier Cru of Cuis and Vertus, and produce cuvees of impressive regularity.
The 2005 vintages are full of fruit characters and mellow texture.
The Brut Fleuron 1er Cru is Pierre Gimonnet’s traditional cuvee, offering great purity of aromas and a crystalline clarity.
The cuvée Spécial Club is the prestige cuvee from the house of Gimonnet, flavoured with complex floral aromas, beeswax and citrus fruits.
