The cuvee Oger Grand Cru from the house of Pierre Gimonnet stands apart from the rest of their range.
Whereas the Gimonnet brothers’ credo has always been to produce the most complex and the most balanced champagnes through the blending of terroirs, this cuvee is the very first time that they have created a mono-terroir champagne.
Three parcels from the Grand Cru terroir of Oger are at the origin of this singular champagne : Terres de Noël and Brulis for 45%, Champs Nérons for 32% and Fondy for 23%.
Oger Grand Cru is dosed as an Extra Brut (6g/l) to allow the minerality and the incisiveness of the Oger terroir to express themselves fully.
It is an intense, opulent and outspoken cuvee for those that enjoy champagnes of character.
Only 9052 bottles of Oger Grand Cru have been produced.
We created this cuvee to give expression to what is a unique and exceptional terroir for Blanc de Blancs, but with a more virile edge and a more smoky minerality than the blends that we usually produce.
