Created in 1869, Brut Impérial reflects the Moët & Chandon style: a unique expression of freshness, generosity and elegance. Its blend is based on a meticulous selection of over 200 crus from Champagne's most prestigious terroirs.

A powerful, balanced blend

Brut Impérial is distinguished by a harmonious blend of three emblematic Champagne grape varieties:

• Pinot Noir (30-40%): gives structure and intensity, with grapes from the Montagne de Reims andAube regions, where they develop a beautiful aromatic depth.
• Pinot Meunier (30-40%): provides silky roundness and fullness on the palate. It comes from the sunny hillsides of the Marne Valley.
• Chardonnay (20-30%): infuses incomparable freshness and minerality from the great growths of the Côte des Blancs.

Precise vinification and ideal ageing

Each grape variety is vinified separately in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, preserving their purity and aromatic intensity. This process guarantees brilliant freshness and remarkable finesse.

An additional 20-30% reserve wine enriches the blend, giving Brut Impérial added complexity and perfect consistency vintage after vintage.

Finally, the cuvée rests for 24 months on its lees in Moët & Chandon's historic cellars, where it develops a silky texture and intense aromatic palette. A precise dosage of 9 g/L balances the wine's liveliness and generosity.
