Description

A.R. Lenoble's Blanc de Noirs 2006 is an atypical champagne, made from a single grape variety (Pinot Noir), a single terroir (the 1er Cru village of Bisseuil), and a single year.

It is a cuvée that has spent several years in the cellars of Maison Lenoble to round out its aromas and develop its complexity.

Blanc de Noirs 2006 A.R. Lenoble has an intense golden color, with abundant, persistent mousse.

The nose is expressive and powerful, with notes of yellow and red fruits (quince, apricot, raspberry, redcurrant), flowers (iris, rose, peony) and herbs (ginger, jasmine, cedar). On the second nose, spicy notes of cinnamon and vanilla emerge.

On the palate, the Blanc de Noirs 2006 A.R. Lenoble offers a smooth, greedy, slightly woody attack. This is a champagne marked by the contrast between fat and fluidity. The fruit and light oak are well blended, slightly jammy and supported by a very lively character.

The finish is exceptional, with great purity thanks to a very low dosage (3g/L).

A vinous, powerful champagne that will go wonderfully with warm, rich dishes such as warm oysters or pressed foie gras with morels and veal shank.
