Le Terroir by Adrien Renoir is a champagne that combines freshness, tension and gourmandise. It's the perfect aperitif cuvée.
It's a blend of 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Chardonnay from the classified Grand Cru terroir of Verzy, on the Montagne de Reims. The base wines are vinified in stainless steel vats (80%) and oak barrels (20%), while the reserve wines, representing 20% of the blend, are aged in foudre. These wines are aged on lees. After 3 years in the house cellars, the wines are disgorged and blended to Extra Brut (3.3gl/g).
Tasting
By Patrick BorrasAdrien Renoir's Extra Brut Grand Cru is light yellow in color, with hints of gold. It's a champagne with fine, light bubbles.
On the nose, it's very fresh and airy, with fruity and floral aromas of acacia, honey and crunchy white fruit. These aromas are reminiscent of spring.
The attack on the palate of this champagne is very pleasant, fresh and lively, yet unctuous and greedy, with brioche and toasted aromas punctuated by very fresh citrus aromas of lemon and grapefruit. This is a very pleasant, well-balanced champagne, with its freshness and greediness...
I recommend you enjoy it as an aperitif, at a temperature of between 8°C and 9°C.
