Champagne Vilmart Grand Cellier Œnothèque T14 is a rare, elegant cuvée that embodies refinement and patience. Aged for a long time in the house's cellars, this champagne from the 2014 tirage is based on a 2013 harvest and now reveals all its complexity. A true treasure of the Vilmart house, it is a marvellous illustration of a great wine's ability to evolve over time.
Grand Cellier Œnothèque T14 is made exclusively from grapes grown on the Premier Cru terroir of Rilly-la-Montagne, a village renowned for the intense expression of its grape varieties. This cuvée is based on a precise blend:
The blend is based on the 2013 harvest, supplemented by reserve wines from the 2011 and 2012 vintages. This marriage of three years results in a complex, balanced and elegant wine.
The musts are vinified and aged for 10 months in oak foudres, without malolactic fermentation, to preserve a vibrant freshness. The wood acts as a revealer of texture, polishing the angles while respecting the identity of the terroir.
The word "T14" refers to the year of tirage, when the wine is bottled for its second fermentation. Grand Cellier Œnothèque T14 has thus benefited from prolonged aging on lees in the Vilmart cellars, to offer a more accomplished, finer and deeper palette of aromas. A cuvée for laying down, designed for lovers of great gourmet champagnes.
Grand Cellier Œnothèque T14 is a luminous pale gold color, with fine, regular bubbles, the hallmark of long ageing on lees.
The nose is highly complex, with notes of dried fruit, candied citrus zest, marzipan and a delicate hint of vanilla from barrel ageing.
On the palate, this champagne is distinguished by its creamy texture and remarkable mineral tension. Aromas evolve towards toasty, honey and yellow fruitnotes. The finish is long, balanced and of rare elegance.
The price of the unopened bottle of Grand Cellier Œnothèque T14 is 95,95 €. A great Champagne for laying down, combining richness, precision and purity.
This cuvée is praised for its aromatic depth, its subtle balance between freshness and roundness, and its great drinkability. Read the reviews of Grand Cellier Œnothèque T14.
Enjoy now to benefit from its maturity, or cellar for up to 10 years for lovers of mature champagnes. Serve between 10 and 12°C in a tulip-shaped glass or white wine glass to reveal all the wine's complexity.
At Vilmart, the "T14" late bottling reveals a rare philosophy: let time sublimate the wine. Each vintage in the cellar is a promise of future complexity. T14 is thus the culmination of patient work, an art of living, and a profound respect for time.
