      Description

The CV 19 cuvée from Valentin Leflaive Champagne embodies the elegance and complexity of great Blanc de Blancs. Crafted from the finest Chardonnay grapes from the Côte des Blancs, this cuvée seduces with its fruity and pastry notes. It is an ideal cuvée for a beautiful aperitif.

The Making of Valentin Leflaive CV 19 Champagne

The CV 19 cuvée is a Blanc de Blancs, crafted from Chardonnay grapes sourced from prestigious terroirs of the Côte des Blancs: Vertus (52%), Bergères-les-Vertus (27%), and Cramant (21%). The vines, with an average age of 40 years, benefit from a south and southeast exposure on chalk-rich clay-limestone soils. Vinification was carried out in stainless steel vats to preserve the freshness and purity of the aromas. After bottling in June 2020, this cuvée aged for 39 months on the lees, revealing a fine effervescence and great precision.

      A Non-Vintage Cuvée

The CV 19 cuvée highlights the exceptional characteristics of the 2019 harvest, which forms the base of the blend. The 2019 harvest was marked by excellent grape maturity and unique aromatic richness. This year stands out for its freshness and precision, particularly in the Chardonnays of the Côte des Blancs. The name of the cuvée, CV, comes from the two terroirs present in the blend: Cramant and Vertus.
