      Description

Ruinart's Millésime 2010 is a cuvée characterized by beautiful fruit and spice aromas. It's a champagne that goes equally well with a fine aperitif or a gourmet dish, such as creamed fish.

2010 was marked by a dry spring and early summer, until mid-August. Despite a rainy late summer, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir showed excellent ripeness.

Millésime 2010 Ruinart is a blend of 55% Chardonnay and 45% Pinot Noir, all from Grands Crus and Premiers Crus in Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims. The wines are aged in stainless-steel vats to preserve freshness and intensity, while malolactic fermentation is carried out. This cuvée is dosed at 5.5g/l (Extra Brut), a dosage that just highlights the wine's fruity aromas.

Millésime 2010 Ruinart has a luminous, pale gold color with green highlights. Its bubbles are fine and lively.

On the first nose, this champagne offers notes of ripe white fruit (apple, pear) and yellow fruit (peach, apricot). The second nose reveals a spicier touch (nutmeg, tobacco leaves) and floral notes (lime blossom).

On the palate, we find the fruity notes discovered on the nose, plus a more gourmand presence evoking hazelnut and toasted almond. Harmonious and well-balanced on the palate, with a bitter finish.

This is a cuvée with great ageing potential, which will add an extra touch of complexity.
