The 2014 Rosé made by the House of Louis Roederer is a champagne that offers beautiful fruit aromas as well as a lovely fleshy, silky texture on the palate.
The year 2014 was marked by three very contrasting periods of weather. A magnificent, dry spring was followed by a cool, rainy autumn, and then a hot, dry September. A season of contrasts that produced superb grapes, particularly in the chalk plots.
To produce its rosé champagnes, Louis Roederer has developed a technique that is unique in Champagne: infusion. This technique consists of integrating Chardonnay juice into a Pinot Noir maceration so that they ferment together and integrate perfectly. This blends the ripe, full-bodied character of the Pinots with the freshness of the Chardonnays.
Louis Roederer Rosé 2014 blends 63% Pinot Noir with 37% Chardonnay. This blend is 17% vinified in wood.
Rosé 2014 Louis Roederer is dressed in a pink color with golden highlights, dotted with fine, regular bubbles.
On the nose, this cuvée reveals notes of fresh, tart red fruit. On the second nose, warmer notes of spice and pepper emerge.
The attack on the palate is fleshy and generous. The crisp red fruit is underlined by a silky mouthfeel. The mineral freshness of the chalk prolongs the tasting experience with a sensation of lightness.
