Cristal 2009 | Bottle 75cl - Presentation pack
A sunny, continental year, with a very cold, dry winter, followed by a beautiful, sunny summer and virtually no rainfall in August and September. All of this contributed to the classic development of the vines, a remarkable state of health and masterful ripening of the grapes, resulting in dense, fruity and delicious wines! 2009 clearly belongs to the "square" of successful, brilliant Champagne vintages, with its sunny yet light signature. Cuvée Cristal brings together Grands Crus from the Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne and Côte des Blancs regions. It benefits from an average of 6 years' maturation in our cellars, plus 8 months' rest after disgorgement to perfect its maturity. Dosage is 8 g/l. Golden yellow color with matte amber highlights. Persistent, bright and lively effervescence. Subtle bouquet, both secret and concentrated. Notes of citrus compote, candied apricot and honeysuckle. On aeration, fine vanilla cocoa beans, roasted hazelnuts and hints of licorice and cinnamon emerge. The palate is organized, energetic and chiselled. An initial dense, ripe, silky sensation is amplified by the discovery of a chalky cave freshness, a powdery, almost mentholated freshness. The feeling is delicate and airy, a succession of gourmet, colorful textures, perfectly integrated with the wine's lightness and finesse, a true invitation to travel. Cristal's luminous personality then emerges, both sharp and pure, in a finish still centered on chalk, energy and grain. Cristal 2009 is a true force of life, an invitation to pleasure, with great depth and stalactite purity.
