Roederer's Rosé 2010 is a pure, fresh champagne that goes perfectly with an aperitif or white meat.
2010 saw a particularly cold winter and a cool, dry spring. July was very dry, before a more classic August. The harvest produced concentrated, expressive wines.
Louis Roederer Rosé 2010 is a blend of 62% Pinot Noir and 38% Chardonnay. A small proportion of the wines (15%) were vinified in oak foudres.
Louis Roederer's rosé champagnes are always made using the saignée method, after a cold skin maceration lasting 5 to 8 days.
Malolactic fermentation is not carried out, and the dosage is 9 g/l.
Roederer Rosé 2010 has a pink color with slightly bluish highlights. Its effervescence is fine and dynamic.
The nose is reminiscent of honeysuckle and lily, as well as slightly tart red fruit and citrus zest.
On the palate, the attack is crisp, then gives way to a wine with an unctuous, fresh texture, without any heaviness.
The finish lingers with a sensation of finesse and elegance.
