Louis Roederer's Rosé 2009 is a champagne with a strong focus on fruit and aromatic amplitude.
It's a cuvée that reflects 2009, a sunny vintage thanks in particular to a warm month of August that launched the ripening of the grapes in optimal conditions.
Louis Roederer Rosé 2009 is a harmonious blend of 62% Pinot Noir and 38% Chardonnay, 7% of which was vinified in oak casks.
This is a rosé de saignée, obtained by maceration of the grapes for 5 to 8 days. The dosage is 9g/l.
Roederer Rosé 2009 has a salmon-pink color with golden highlights.
On the nose, this is a very fruit-driven cuvée, with notes of morello cherry, blood orange and vine peach, underlined by a touch of acidity. On the second nose, greedier nuances of Viennese pastries emerge.
On the palate, the attack is round and fruity. Hints of pomelo and citrus zest follow. The palate is full and dense, with a fine minerality. Notes of red fruit and a toasty finish.
Roederer Rosé 2009 is a pure, fine champagne.
