The Cuvée Rosé Vintage 2006 from the House of Pol Roger is a wildly complex champagne, unfolding greedy, fruity aromas.
This cuvée is composed of 20 Grands Crus and Premiers Crus from the Montagne de Reims and Côte des Blancs, the two finest terroirs in Champagne. A blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay, to which is added 15% Pinot Noir red wine, also from the Montagne de Reims.
Pol Roger Rosé Vintage 2006 was vinified in stainless steel tanks, and malolactic fermentation was carried out to add a touch of roundness.
This champagne has an intense salmon-pink color. Its bubbles are fine and lively.
The nose reveals lovely aromas of wild red fruit, with a hint of citrus.
On tasting, Pol Roger Rosé Vintage 2006 offers great freshness, with a beautiful minerality, then evolves on fuity and spicy aromas, supported by a soft, almost unctuous texture.
The finish is long and precise, resonating on the palate for long seconds.
