      Description

Cuvée Liesse d'Harbonville represents the quintessence of Maison Ployez-Jacquemart. It therefore requires very special attention, and is only produced in great years. It is vinified differently, while retaining the personality of the vintage.

2004 was marked by a mild winter, a cool spring and finally a hot, dry summer. The rainy month of August boosted the growth of the grapes, which had slowed down due to lack of water, and a sunny September put the finishing touches to a harvest of magnificent ripeness.

Made entirely in oak barrels, the blend remains the same: 66% Chardonnay, 17% Pinot Noir and 17% Meunier. The first fermentation is carried out in the barrels, and malolactic fermentation is blocked, allowing us to age wines with very fine, elegant aromas. Simple topping-up and racking are carried out between harvest and bottling.

The wine's barrel ageing creates great richness, structure and complexity. The natural acidity of this blend, despite a minimum of 10 years' ageing in the Maison's cellars, brings out the character of the year while retaining exceptional freshness. Extra-Brut dosage is 3 g/L.

Cuvée Liesse d'Harbonville 2004 reveals a brilliant, luminous golden color. On the palate, the wine is soft and round, with a creamy effervescence that underlines the cuvée's maturity and freshness.
