The Rosé Sauvage cuvée from Piper-Heidsieck is a blended rosé composed of 60% Pinot Noir (including 15% vinified as red wine), 20% Meunier, and 20% Chardonnay, with a minimum of 25% reserve wines. The red wines are primarily sourced from a selection of plots in the village of Les Riceys, renowned for the quality of its Pinots.
This cuvée is vinified and aged in thermo-regulated stainless steel tanks, and malolactic fermentation is carried out. After a minimum aging on lees of 24 months, the cuvée is dosed as Brut with 9g/l of sugar, to maintain a perfect balance between intensity and freshness.
The Rosé Sauvage stands out with a deep red color with ruby reflections, revealing a strong proportion of red wine in the blend.
