Philipponnat's Blanc de Noirs 2012, presented here in magnum, is a true embodiment of the house style, a style dominated by Pinots Noirs.
It's a champagne made from Pinot Noir grapes from the Premiers and Grands Crus terroirs of the Montagne de Reims, Mareuil-sur-Aÿ and Aÿ.
The 2012 vintage is a generous one, thanks to a mild season.
The Blanc de Noirs 2012 Philipponnat was vinified partly in vats, with partial malolactic fermentation, and partly in oak barrels, without malolactic fermentation.
The dosage is Extra Brut (4.25g/l) to maintain a fine balance between freshness and vinosity, without masking the wine's character and purity.
