The Making of Cordon Rouge G.H. Mumm Champagne

The Cordon Rouge cuvée is crafted from a rigorous selection of more than 77 crus, representing the diversity of Champagne terroirs, notably the Montagne de Reims, the Côte des Blancs, and the Vallée de la Marne. The blend is dominated by 45% Pinot Noir, providing structure and power, complemented by 30% Chardonnay for finesse and elegance, and 25% Pinot Meunier for its fruity roundness.

Each cru is vinified separately to preserve the identity of its terroir. The blend includes 25 to 30% reserve wines, kept in vats for up to 4 years, adding complexity and depth. The dosage, mastered at 8 g/L, allows the expression of the freshness and intensity characteristic of the G.H. Mumm style.
