Rosé de la Côte des Bar 2015 is a maceration rosé by Louise Brison, with an assertive style revealing superb fruity, gourmet notes.
This rosé de macération is made exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes. The grapes come from the house's own plots, mainly located in the Noé-Les-Mallets terroir in the Aube region. This is a very different terroir from that of the Marne. Here, we're closer to the terroirs of Chablis, with clay-limestone soils providing a generous, racy aromatic signature.
This cuvée is vinified and aged on its lees in oak barrels for around 9 months to develop its aromatic complexity, and does not undergo malolactic fermentation.
Rosé de la Côte des Bar 2015 has a brilliant, deep pink color with orange highlights. Its bubbles are fine and regular.
On the nose, this rosé champagne offers a beautiful aromatic expression, opening with notes of redcurrant and strawberry fruit. It then evolves on lightly woody notes and aromas of jammy fruit and almond.
On the palate, this champagne prolongs the sensations discovered on the nose, and its crispness and structure are highly appreciable. This rosé is a real gourmet!
This complex, fruity rosé goes perfectly with grilled white meats or light desserts such as fruit salad or strawberry dacquoise with raspberry, lime and grapefruit macaroons.
