Founded in 1922 by Georges Baradon and Maurice Janisson, Maison Janisson-Baradon has been located in the hills above Épernay ever since. Its vineyards cover more than 9 hectares, on which the three main Champagne grape varieties are grown. Four other lesser-known varieties are also grown on the estate: Arbanne, Petit Meslier, Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc. These forgotten grape varieties flourish on a 40-acre plot. Today, Cyril and Maxence (the 5th generation of winegrowers) are at the head of the estate, practicing integrated viticulture with ecological methods that respect the environment.
The Maison Janisson-Baradon crafts its cuvées around the values of finesse and subtlety. Cuvée Brut Sélection is a perfect example. A blend of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir, including 30% reserve wines aged in oak barrels, this cuvée seduces with its fine bubbles and subtle aromas. As for more specific cuvées, how could we not mention the Cuvée Toulette from a 30-acre parcel planted with Chardonnay? Vinified and aged in oak barrels, without malolactic fermentation, this cuvée offers a perfect balance between aromatic power and mineral tension.
Plus de Bulles no longer offers the vintages of this brand, however we offer the largest selection of champagne web with 942 wines available.
