Henri Giraud's Fût de Chêne Multivintage cuvée is the fullest, richest expression of the house style.
Made from a blend of 75% Pinot Noir and 25% Chardonnay, this champagne is aged in solera, combining several vintages. This champagne spends 12 months in small oak barrels from the Argonne forest, then 6 years on the lees in bottle.
This cuvée is insanely complex and incredibly rich, thanks to the Grand Cru terroir of Aÿ, but also to the oak of the Argonne forest, which contributes its characteristic velvety texture.
Cuvée Fût de Chêne Multivintage Henri Giraud has a deep, intense golden color.
The nose is rich, with greedy notes of pastry, ripe yellow fruit and spices (cinnamon).
The palate offers an elegant, round attack, then unfolds its silky touch, carried by a certain salinity and a hint of minerality. The finish asserts itself with freshness and a hint of menthol.
A magnificent cuvée for connoisseurs.
