      Coteaux Blanc Champenois 2007 from the house of Henri Giraud stands comparison with the great white burgundies.

      A still wine, aged in barrels made from oak from the Argonne forests, it offers a pale gold robe with silvery reflections.

      The nose opens with citrus fruits, and richer notes derived from the oak ageing, evolving to warmer, more intense, fruitier aromas.

      The vivid and elegant palate perfectly balances richness with a fine acidity and mineral undertones.

      The oak is subtly detectable, the finish delectably long and chalky.

      Coteaux Blanc Champenois 2007 reunites yellow fruits, epicurean pleasure and lightly smoky characters.
