Description

Goutorbe Bouillot's Reflets de Rivière cuvée is a tribute to the river Marne, which flows at the foot of the village of Damery, where this champagne originates. A fruity, fresh champagne, perfect for the aperitif.

It is a blend of the 3 main Champagne grape varieties, Pinot Meunier (60%), Pinot Noir (20%) and Chardonnay (20%). All are planted on the terroir of Damery, a Champagne village on the banks of the Marne. Its clay-limestone slopes produce grapes with beautiful tension, but also great aromatic richness.

Reflets de Rivière is based on a perpetual reserve begun in 1980, refreshed by a large proportion of wine from the last harvest. After bottling, the wine rests for 30 months in the house cellars.

This perpetual reserve gives the wine an attractive patina, while the absence of malolactic fermentation ensures that the wine retains its freshness.

Reflets de Rivière Goutorbe Bouillot is pale gold in color, with fine, lively bubbles.

The nose is discreet at first, revealing notes of white fruit (pear) and a touch of yellow fruit.

On the palate, this champagne opens with a frank attack, immediately followed by a greedy, well-balanced mid-palate. Fresh fruit notes and a rich, gourmet touch are present, before the finish evokes citrus fruits for a few moments.

A cuvée to be enjoyed as an aperitif or with cold starters, charcuterie or a cheese platter.
