      Description

      This Coteaux Champenois Aÿ Blanc Grand Cru, Cuvée de Croix Courcelles 2015 from Henri Giraud is a Champagne still white wine reminiscent of the great white Burgundies.

      The Chardonnays from the Grand Cru terroir of Aÿ have been vinified traditionally, then aged in oak barrels for several months.

      This Coteaux Blanc Champenois is white-gold in color.

      The nose initially evokes flowers, candied citrus fruit and vanilla, then evolves towards more intense, fruity notes.

      On the palate, the attack is chiselled and clean, and the wine is full of freshness, with a touch of fatness brought by the Argonne oak barrels. This fatness is well-balanced by a touch of acid and a mineral framework. The wood is present in the background, never intrusive, but always there. The finish is sapid, long and chalky.

      Cuvée de Croix Courcelles 2015 is produced in very small quantities, with each bottle numbered.
