Description

Dom Pérignon's Vintage 2009 is full-bodied, rich and exuberant. A demonstrative vintage that can be enjoyed now, but also offers superb cellaring potential.

2009 was a special year in Champagne, with a difficult start, a harsh winter and then a mild, rainy spring. The rainy summer was saved by an absolutely perfect month of August, dry and warm, with no interruption until the harvest. The grapes, both Chardonnays and Pinots Noirs, show magnificent ripeness and acidity.

Dom Pérignon Vintage 2009 is characterized by a nose with notes of fruit (guava, white peach) and citrus (green grapefruit, nectarine), as well as a touch of spice.

On the palate, there are notes of fleshy fruit and aromatic richness. This is a cuvée of restrained, controlled power, with a persistent, silky, saline, sappy, bitter and iodized finish.

For this limited edition, Dom Pérignon invited Japanese artist Tokujin Yoshioka to create an artistic tribute to Dom Pérignon. The artist was inspired by Dom Pérignon's words "I drink the stars" to imagine Prism. The work symbolizes champagne's robe, a living light that explodes into infinite colors, triggering waves of unique emotions.

Using light as both material and medium, Tokujin Yoshioka, whose unique creative style is characterized by its luminous nature and breathtaking purity, has worked with crystal prisms to project a vibrant spectrum reminiscent of the sun. This complex, elegant work is reflected in the boxes and labels of this limited edition.
