Cuvée Amour de Deutz 2008 is a champagne with the makings of a gourmet wine. With its incomparable finesse, it will magnify dishes in their purest form, such as caviar, sushi, lobster or Kobe beef.
Made exclusively from Chardonnays, this Blanc de Blancs brings together the Grands Crus and Premiers Crus of Avize (57%), Mesnil-sur-Oger (38%) and Villers-Marmery (around 5%).
The 2008 vintage is one of the finest in Champagne in recent years. A mild, rainy winter was followed by a mild spring and, above all, a beautiful month of September, producing superb grapes at harvest time. The Chardonnays are lively and fine, with a lovely freshness that augurs well for their ageing potential.
The sparkling yellow-gold color is pierced by a delicate sparkle.
The racy nose offers delicate aromas of white flowers, with hints of yellow-fleshed fruit (nectarine, mirabelle plum).
The palate is a harmonious balance of freshness and finesse. Floral, fruity and mineral fragrances lend great complexity to this nectar.
