The Grand Vin des Princes 1993 from Champagne De Venoge is a Blanc de Blancs composed of Chardonnay from the best Crus of the Côte des Blancs.
It is a cuvee that was conceived for the Princes of Orange, and was not sold to the public until 1858.
The Grand Vin des Princes has, since 1961, been produced in a special bottle in the form of a carafe as a reminder of the way it was served in the XIXth century.
The Grand Vin des Princes is still to this day served at the tables of princes, for example at the court of Empereur Akihito of Japan.
The Grand Vin des Princes 1993 from Champagne De Venoge offers a robe of brilliant gold, and fresh, delicately floral aromas on the nose.
The palate is vivacious and very elegant, and notable for its complex structure.
