La Grande Année Rosé embodies Bollinger's unique style in the mastery of rosé champagne making. It is a powerful champagne of great complexity. Each vintage is an event and ranks among the finest champagnes.

The 2014 vintage is the fruit of a highly contrasted year. A rainy autumn and winter were followed by two very dry, sunny months, then a particularly cold summer. Despite these conditions, the musts showed a fine balance between ripeness and acidity, giving rise to an intense, multi-faceted vintage of La Grande Année Rosé 2014.

To make La Grande Année Rosé 2014, Maison Bollinger's cellar master blended 63% Pinot Noir and 37% Chardonnay. The grapes come from some twenty Champagne villages, mainly Aÿ and Verzenay for the Pinot Noir and Chouilly and Oiry for the Chardonnay. To this blend is added 5% red wine from the famous La Côte aux Enfants parcel.

In keeping with Bollinger's unique winemaking methods, this cuvée is vinified and aged entirely in oak barrels.

The wine matures under cork for almost 7 years. A rarity in champagne, each bottle is stirred and disgorged by hand.

This cuvée has a delicate pinkish hue.

The nose reveals a veritable mosaic of fruits, with aromas of raspberry, wild strawberry, cherry, peach and quince.

On the palate, the effervescence is creamy, with magnificent volume and long aromatic persistence. Beautiful acidity and salinity accompany orchard fruit and berry flavors.
