The Making of La Grande Année Rosé 2015 Bollinger

The champagne La Grande Année Rosé 2015 is the result of a blend of 62% Pinot Noir and 38% Chardonnay. The grapes come from 11 crus, mainly from Verzenay, Aÿ and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ for the Pinot Noir, and from Chouilly and Avize for the Chardonnay. To complete this blend, 5% of red wine from the famous La Côte aux Enfants plot is added, providing structure and a delicate color to this rosé. True to Bollinger's tradition, fermentation is carried out in oak barrels. This method gives La Grande Année Rosé texture and complexity.

The 2015 vintage was marked by a dry and sunny climate, offering the grapes optimal maturity. This cuvée benefits from an aging under cork for about 8 years, allowing the champagne to develop all its richness.
