The Grande Année Rosé 2002 follows in the footsteps of the prestigious Bollinger Grande Année.

It is a marriage of the Grande Année with a red wine grown on a unique parcel of less than 1Ha situated in the heart of the Aÿ terroir called « La Côte aux Enfants ».

This wine, which carries the name of the parcel and is made burgundy style, is not produced every year, as it requires exceptional maturities at harvest time.

The grapes are exclusively from Grands Crus and Premiers Crus of Champagne. Sixteen Crus enter into the composition of the Grande Année Rosé 2002 blend, with 73% Grands Crus and 27% Premiers Crus (Blend : 62% Pinot Noir and 38% Chardonnay). They are vinified in small oak barrels which allow for rigorous selection.

2002 was notable for its mild winter, though lacking in sunshine, followed by a hot spring and summer which created the right conditions for good maturities.

The Grande Année Rosé 2002, a sublime deep salmon pink, is a constellation of fine bubbles.

The nose reveals an incredible aromatic intensity, with notes of raspberry, dried apricot, honey sweets and creamy chocolate.

The palate is equally dazzling, rendering the maximum of expression from the grapes with the same palette of aromas as on the nose, accentuated by a delicate vinosity.

The final offers astounding length.
