The Grande Année 2002 is a blend of Premiers Crus and Grands Crus (63% Pinot Noir, 37% Chardonnay) and aged in oak, a practice which has become rare in Champagne.
It’s no coincidence that this champagne, full of charm, is the favorite of Her Majesty’s secret agent, James Bond!
The Bollinger Grande Année 2002 is amongst the most exceptional cuvees of Champagne. Golden, with greenish glints, it possesses extremely fine and lively bubbles.
The Grande Année has a unique nose, vinous, with floral and mineral notes, but also yellow fleshed fruits (pear, apricot), followed by honey and buttery brioche in a harmonious intertwining of aromas.
Refreshing, its fine bubbles lightly caress the palate before all the power of this Grande Année is revealed.
A champagne of great finesse and elegance for really special occasions.
