The Brut Intense "Mag 16" A.R. Lenoble is a superb and remarkable cuvée that combines liveliness and beautiful gourmet aromas thanks to the aging of reserve wines in magnum. It is a perfect cuvée for an aperitif.
The Brut Intense "Mag 16" is part of the new breeding methods implemented from the 2015 harvest. We find the DNA of the Intense cuvée from the A.R. Lenoble house with the presence of three traditional Champagne grape varieties. The blend is thus based on 45% Pinot Meunier from the Damery terroir, 35% Pinot Noir from the Premier Cru de Bisseuil terroir, and finally, 20% Chardonnay from the Grand Cru de Chouilly terroir.
Reserve wines, which represent 45% of the blend, and are kept in magnums with cork stopper.
The magnum allows ideal ageing, optimized by the cork which lets in very little air. Thanks to the destruction of the yeasts by the enzymes of the wine, known as the autolysis phenomenon, a subtle and exceptional aromatic palette develops.
The Brut Intense "Mag 16" therefore takes its name from this unique ageing of reserve wines, but also from the majority year of the wines, which represent 55% of the blend, which therefore come from the 2016 vintage.
It is a champagne which is dosed in Extra Brut (2 grams per liter) in order to maintain a nice freshness.
The Brut Intense “Mag 16” from A.R. Lenoble has a golden color, shiny and luminous, sprinkled with fine bubbles.
On the nose, it is a champagne full of finesse, which reveals beautiful fruity notes, then on the second nose, citrus aromas.
On the palate, it is a smooth, round champagne that envelops the palate with its fruity aromas. It is a complex, full-bodied and intense palate that stretches out onto a fruity, slightly tart and very persistent finish.
This is a cuvée that will be appreciated in particular as an aperitif.
