Sydonios
Sydonios is a young French brand launched in 2016 with a very specific goal: to create tasting glasses offering unmatched oenological precision. To design them, the creators of Sydonios involved more than 100 wine professionals and analyzed dozens of studies on the subject. Sydonios glasses and decanters are, to date, the most advanced tasting glasses, with unmatched finesse and precision. They are made of lead-free crystal, mouth-blown and hand-shaped in the Sydonios glassworks, located in northern France.
The Sydonios Collection consists of several glass models. L’Esthète is designed for powerful and tannic red wines, allowing them to express all their nuances. L’Universel brings great precision to many wines, especially champagnes. Le Subtil is intended for light red wines, such as Burgundies. As for the UBA (Unperfect But Amazing) models, they include a few pieces made "imperfect" by the presence of micro-bubbles in the crystal, but whose performance, finesse, and shape remain unchanged. Small imperfections that can arise during the delicate process of blowing the crystal.
