Located in the Marne Valley, in Mardeuil and Fleury-la-Rivière, the 8-hectare Gamet vineyard is situated on both sides of the Marne: Rive Droite and Rive Gauche. The vines, aged between 25 and 50 years old, are cultivated using sustainable and responsible viticulture methods, guaranteed by Haute Valeur Environnementale certification. Blending tradition and modernity, the wines are produced in stainless steel vats and oak barrels, offering a beautiful diversity. To accentuate this diversity in the blends, the Gamet family varies its barrel suppliers, sourcing them from Champagne, Bordeaux, and Sancerre. Now joined by the fourth generation, son Jean-François, an oenologist, and daughter Marianne, the brains behind the operation, Maison Gamet has big ambitions for the years to come!
The Cuvée Caractères is Maison Gamet's iconic cuvée. It conveys the memories of the House through a blend of wines from the current year and a perpetual reserve started in 1999, all vinified and aged in oak barrels. As for the Rive Droite/Rive Gauche duo, it will introduce you to two neighboring yet distinct terroirs. One is located on the right bank of the Marne, producing a delightful cuvée with lovely fruity notes and plenty of freshness. The other is located on the left bank of the Marne, producing a more complex champagne that combines richness and indulgence with great freshness.
