      Description

Ruinart Champagne entrusted designer Maarten Baas with the task of creating a unique box to underline the preciousness of the Dom Ruinart 2002 and Dom Ruinart Rosé 1998 bottles. The designer created a raw case, with a matt, hammered, bumpy surface, all invisible curves and perfectly imperfect.

The material imitates nature, barely roughed up by the tool, when in fact it is the result of highly technical craftsmanship.

Similarly, the four legs of the case are not symmetrical, accentuating the illusion of spontaneity.

Dom Ruinart 2002 is certainly one of the finest vintages ever produced by the champagne house in Reims. The 2002 vintage is unquestionably the finest of the last 20 years, with impressive ageing potential.

Made exclusively from Chardonnays, Dom Ruinart 2002 has a luminous, almond-green color. Its bubbles are fine and lively.

On the nose, this champagne reveals beautiful notes of lime blossom, as well as fruity, acidic aromas with a hint of citrus. After a few minutes, the nose becomes more gourmand, with notes of viennoiserie and a fine mineral presence.

On the palate, Dom Ruinart 2002 offers a dynamic, fresh attack, followed by beautiful fruity notes. The palate then stretches out on a magnificent mineral and pure framework, carried by a silky, delicate texture.
