Louis Roederer
Cristal Rosé 2009 | Bottle 75cl - Presentation pack
A sunny, continental year, with a very cold, dry winter, followed by a beautiful, sunny summer and virtually no rainfall in August and September. All of this contributed to the classic development of the vines, a remarkable state of health and masterful ripening of the grapes, resulting in dense, fruity and delicious wines! 2009 is clearly one of Champagne's most successful and brilliant vintages, with its sunny yet light signature. To produce its rosé champagnes, Louis Roederer blends the two ways of making rosé in Champagne, maceration and blending: some Chardonnay juice is poured into a Pinot Noir maceration, to ferment together and integrate perfectly. Cuvée Cristal Rosé benefits from an average of 6 years' maturation in our cellars, plus 8 months' rest after disgorgement to perfect its balance. Dosage is 8 g/l. Light, luminous pink color with coppery highlights. Delicate effervescence with a long-lasting cordon. Elegant, deep bouquet of black fruits (blackcurrant) and forest fruits (blackberry, wild strawberry). It also comes close to ripe Morello cherry, with an impression of concentrated, tangy jam. The velvety, silky, bewitching attack is the hallmark of the great Pinot Noir d'Ay, with its intense aromas and tight structure, while remaining delicate, subtle and airy.
