Roederer's Blanc de Blancs 2009 is a cuvée of unique finesse and lightness.
It is a cuvée made from Chardonnay Grand Cru grapes from the terroirs of Avize, Mesnil-sur-Oger and Cramant, 10% of which is vinified in oak foudres with weekly stirring of the lees. Malolactic fermentation is not carried out to preserve maximum freshness and ageing potential.
Cuvée Blanc de Blancs 2009 is bottled at low pressure for a rounder, more enveloping effervescence. It benefits from an average of 5 years' maturation in our cellars, plus 6 months' rest after disgorgement to perfect its maturity. The dosage is 9 g/l (Brut).
Roederer Blanc de Blancs 2009 has a golden color with green highlights. Its bubbles are fine and velvety.
On the nose, this champagne opens with notes of candied citrus, white and yellow fruits, cocoa and hazelnut powder. The second nose is dominated by pastry aromas.
On the palate, we discover an energetic, pure champagne, revealing aromas of ripe fruit. This is a pure, precise cuvée. The finish is long and fresh.
