René Geoffroy's Cuvée Cumières 2009 is a coteau-champenois exalting the purity of pinot noir. Produced from the House's oldest vines, it delicately reveals the character of this grape variety, and is the perfect accompaniment to fillet of beef with mushrooms or braised partridge.

2009 is the fourth edition of this cuvée (after 2003, 2004 and 2006), thanks to the excellent ripeness of the grapes.

The wine's ruby-red color is pleasantly intense.

The nose is very fruity. Morello cherry aromas mingle with fresh grape and blackberry notes in sumptuous harmony.

The spicier attack on the palate reveals subtle fragrances of cinnamon, cloves and gingerbread, before giving way to aromas of fresh red fruit.

The long, persistent finish promises good ageing potential (drink up to 2024-2029).
