Description

Jean-Baptiste Geoffroy's Cumières Rouge 2012 Pinot Noir is a fruity, elegant red wine that goes well with red meats or even game.

When the vintage lends itself, when the Pinot Noir from the estate's old vines offers tightly-packed bunches of perfectly ripe grapes, Jean-Baptiste Geoffroy decides to make a red Coteau Champenois.

After cold maceration and vinification in open oak vats, the wine is aged in demi-muids and barrels for 18 to 24 months. It is then placed in stainless steel tanks for 12 months on lees to refine its aromas.

Cumières Rouge 2012 Pinot Noir René Geoffroy has a red color with ruby highlights.

On the nose, this red wine offers notes of kirsch cherry and ripe red berries.

On the palate, the wine is silky and delicate. The mid-palate offers expressive notes of red fruit and a touch of vanilla.

To get the most out of this wine, decant two hours before tasting.
