The Pommery Louise 2005 Parcelles Edition cuvée is exclusively made from grapes sourced from Grand Cru terroirs. They come from the Grand Cru terroir of Aÿ for the Pinot Noir and the terroirs of Avize and Cramant for the Chardonnays. The 2005 vintage is characterized by a harvest that took place under cool, dry, and sunny weather. This weather allowed for the production of high-quality grapes, combining great maturity with beautiful acidity.
Each selected parcel was meticulously worked to obtain grapes of very high quality, particularly by controlling yields. This cuvée is a tribute to the minerality of the chalky soils of these iconic Grand Cru terroirs. Its 15-year aging in the cellar has enhanced its aromatic potential and structure.
The Louise 2005 Parcelles Edition champagne presents exceptional brilliance and clarity, with fine and delicate effervescence. This champagne embodies the visual elegance characteristic of the great cuvées of Champagne. The fine effervescence illustrates the meticulous aging process.
The nose is of great finesse, combining floral aromas of linden and hawthorn, and fruity notes of vine peach and pear. As it aerates, more indulgent touches of vanilla and roasted hazelnuts are revealed, accompanied by a subtle buttery note.
On the palate, the attack is frank, without imbalance, and the aromas present on the nose are found in perfect harmony. The minerality of this champagne, a signature of the great chalky terroirs, accompanies a soft finish marked by a slight bitterness, giving this cuvée a singular relief.
