Pol Roger's Blanc de Blancs 2008 is a magnificent champagne, distinguished by its freshness, finesse and fruity aromas. Enjoy it as an aperitif, or with cold fish (fish terrine, carpaccio...) or hot fish (turbot, sea bass, salmon...).
The 2008 vintage is one of the finest in recent years. The weather conditions produced an abundant harvest, with a perfect sugar/acidity balance.
This cuvée is made from Chardonnay grapes grown on the Grand Cru terroirs of the Côte des Blancs: Oiry, Chouilly, Avize, Oger and Cramant.
Blanc de Blancs 2008 is vinified in stainless-steel tanks to allow the purity of the terroir to express itself. Malolactic fermentation is carried out to round out the wine's aromas and add a gourmet touch.
Blanc de Blancs 2008 Pol Roger is pale gold in color with green highlights.
The initial nose reveals citrus and almond notes, which evolve after a few moments into aromas of white flowers and apricot.
On the palate, this champagne begins with a lovely sensation of freshness, before revealing notes of green apple, citrus fruit, fresh butter and meringue.
The finish is lively, long and persistent, with a touch of minerality.
