Description
This Deluxe box contains two bottles of Philipponnat's Cuvée Royale Réserve.
A blend of the 3 traditional Champagne grape varieties: Pinot Noir (40-50%), Chardonnay (30-35%) and Pinot Meunier (15-25%), this cuvée also receives 20-40% reserve wines to add a touch of complexity.
Part of this blend is aged in oak barrels to obtain that touch of complexity and vinosity.
Royale Réserve Philipponnat is a beautiful golden color with amber highlights.
On the nose, this champagne opens with notes of white flowers, then evolves towards more complex aromas of citrus fruit, brioche and honey.
On the palate, this cuvée opens with a fresh, lively attack, then reveals its fruity aromas. It's a well-structured cuvée, with elegant vinosity and ample body.
The finish is beautiful, with a gourmand, biscuit-like touch.
