Grand Cordon is a blended champagne, the result of a marriage of more than 100 crus. At the base of this blend, Pinot Noir dominates, providing structure and intensity, complemented by Chardonnay for finesse and Pinot Meunier for its roundness. A portion of the reserve wines is aged in vats, offering a unique aromatic complexity and richness.
The vinification respects the iconic style of G.H. Mumm. It is carried out in stainless steel vats to preserve maximum freshness. This champagne then benefits from 20 months of aging in the cellar to develop its complexity and perfect balance. With a moderate dosage of 8 g/L, Grand Cordon presents a subtle balance between freshness and aromatic intensity.
A luminous golden hue, traversed by fine and persistent bubbles, testifies to its refined effervescence.
An intense and complex nose opens with aromas of peaches, apricots, and pineapple, enhanced by notes of vanilla, dried fruits, and a touch of honey.
On the palate, Grand Cordon reveals a lively and structured attack, followed by flavors of fresh fruits and a long, powerful finish with subtly toasted notes.
The price of the Grand Cordon G.H. Mumm bottle is 38,95 €. This iconic cuvée, blending tradition and modernity, reflects an excellent quality-price ratio for lovers of prestigious champagnes.
