The Protocoles Gift Box from Mumm is a superb white lacquered wooden box containing everything you need to discover and apply the protocol of champagne tasting.
The Mumm Protocoles Gift Box contains a bottle opener, a serving tie, a stopper, a set of cards presenting the champagne protocols and a bottle of Mumm Cordon Rouge.
Cordon Rouge is Mumm's most famous cuvée. It's a champagne that combines fruitiness, gourmandise and freshness, and is the perfect aperitif cuvée.
Made from a blend of over 77 crus from all the great terroirs of Champagne, Cordon Rouge Mumm gives pride of place to Pinot Noir (45%), which brings structure and power, while Chardonnay (30%) provides finesse and elegance, and Pinot Meunier its fruitiness and roundness.
This champagne has a golden color, sparkling and animated by fine bubbles.
Cordon Rouge Mumm has a nose of fresh fruit, white and yellow peaches and apricots, as well as hints of exotic fruit. After a few moments, this cuvée opens up to more gourmand notes, with hints of vanilla, caramel, brioche and honey.
On the palate, the attack is fresh and lively, then gives way to a round, ample and slightly vinous wine. The fruity, gourmet aromas discovered on the nose are repeated, with a long, round finish.
