Moët & Chandon's Grand Vintage 2006 is a singular interpretation of an exceptional year.
The weather in 2006 was a combination of a scorching July and a cool, rainy August. The grapes were harvested in September, under sunny skies and at perfect ripeness.
Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage 2006 is a blend of 42% Chardonnay, 39% Pinot Noir and 19% Pinot Meunier. The dosage is extra brut, at 5 g/liter.
This champagne then spends 7 years in the house cellars to perfect its aromas.
Grand Vintage 2006 Moët & Chandon has a pale yellow color with green highlights.
On the nose, notes of peach, mango and banana follow through to more mature aromas of white pepper, flint and almond paste.
On the palate, Grand Vintage 2006 offers a crisp, fruity attack (nectarine, redcurrant), then unfolds a juicy, unctuous texture that carries through to a beautiful finish.
