      Description

A precise, luminous champagne that reveals all the richness of the Côte des Bar terroir. This 2018 vintage cuvée seduces with its crystalline freshness and aromatic depth. It's the perfect cuvée to accompany refined dishes or a fine aperitif.

How À l'Aube de la Côte des Bar 2018 is made

À l'Aube de la Côte des Bar 2018 is a champagne made from a harmonious blend of :

      • 50% Chardonnay, which brings finesse, minerality and lovely tension on the palate.
      • 50% Pinot Noir for structure, fruit and depth.

The grapes come from plots located on Kimmeridgian limestone-clay terroir, at an altitude of 320 meters, with a South/Southeast exposure favoring optimal ripening.

Vinification follows a traditional approach, with fermentation in oak barrels and ageing for 9 months before bottling. No malolactic fermentation is carried out to preserve the wine's purity and liveliness. The champagne is then aged in the cellar for several years to develop its complexity.

Dosage: 0 g/L, for an authentic expression of terroir.

      The 2018 vintage

2018 was an exceptional year in Champagne. A rainy spring allowed the soils to build up water reserves, followed by a hot, sunny summer, ideal for perfect grape ripening. This combination gave birth to wines of great generosity, with beautiful aromatic concentration and remarkable balance.
