Lombard's Brut Nature Verzenay Grand Cru Les Corettes is a Blanc de Noirs champagne of freshness, minerality and fruit. An ideal aperitif or cold starter.
The Les Corettes parcel is located in Verzenay, on the hillside below the Moulin, on the slope towards Mailly. It faces due west.
The village of Verzenay is renowned for its chalky soils and exposure, which produce delicate Pinot Noirs full of freshness.
Brut Nature Verzenay Grand Cru Les Corettes Lombard is a Blanc de Noirs, i.e. a champagne made exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes. It is vinified in stainless steel tanks, then aged in oak barrels for 6 to 8 months, with light stirring of the lees. Malolactic fermentation is blocked to preserve all the tension and energy of the Verzenay terroir.
This cuvée then spends 4 to 5 years in the company's Epernay cellars to develop its aromatic complexity. No dosage is added, as the wine's balance is already perfect.
The Brut Nature Verzenay Grand Cru Les Corettes Lombard offers lovely red fruit notes thanks to its exposure. The plot receives sunshine at the hottest part of the day, which gives the wine, beautiful structure and strong aromatic intensitý.
