Description
Every vintage is an event at Laurent-Perrier, and the 2000 vintage is no exception. This cuvée respects the House's canons, combining freshness and elegance, airiness and richness. Exceptionally, Laurent-Perrier has opened the doors of its oenotheque to offer a few magnums of its Millésime 2000 for tasting on April 22, 2021.The 2000 vintage reflects a year marked by a mild winter and a fine rainy season. The 2000 harvest began under sunny skies, allowing the grapes to ripen perfectly.
The color is a deep golden yellow.
The nose evokes floral notes of lime blossom and spring hawthorn, as well as citrus notes of Menton lemon, Florida pink grapefruit and Corsican clementine.
The palate is a perfect balance of chardonnay, harmoniously balanced with pinot noir, red fruit notes such as Plougastel strawberry or Mara des bois, and a very long, fresh finish.
We recommend serving this exceptional champagne between 10 and 12°C, to avoid dulling the richness of its fragrances and flavors.
This Millésime 2000 cuvée is perfect with smoked fish carpaccios such as salmon or Auvergne trout, or with red tuna sashimi.
